Our Story

Rooted in two worlds.

I grew up in Heidelberg, surrounded by the quiet presence of Persian heritage.

My parents brought more than memories with them when they left Iran in the 1980s. They brought traditions, stories, and an appreciation for beauty that would become part of my everyday life.

Persian rugs were always there. Beneath our feet, woven into our homes, carrying stories of places I had never seen, yet somehow always felt connected to.

Growing up between two cultures shaped the way I see beauty.

From Iran, I inherited a love for intricate artistry, rich textures, and objects that carry meaning. From Germany, an appreciation for thoughtful design, honest materials, and craftsmanship built to endure.

Rugs & Roots was born from the desire to bring these worlds together.
To give pieces of the past a new purpose, without losing the stories that make them extraordinary.

Bespoke & Trade

For designers, architects and hotels.

We are speaking with a small number of interior designers, architects and boutique hotels about bespoke pieces and early collaborations. From a single statement table for a private residence to a set of pieces for a lobby or suite, we source rugs and tables to suit the space, its palette and the story it should tell. Every commission is developed in close conversation, from the first idea to delivery.
